Meet Catherine, Founder of Hardwil Homestead

Hardwil Homestead began with the purchase of a property nestled in the heart of the picturesque Goulburn region in NSW, Australia along with a small herd of Angus & Hereford Cattle eleven years ago. What started as a dream to build a home and space for our family to enjoy and relax quickly turned into our homestead.

Catherine one day purchased a stunning picture of Highlands to grace the homestead's walls, It was this piece of art that inspired Catherine to delve into the world of Highlands, researching to find where these majestic creatures could be purchased.

Before long, Catherine welcomed her first Highland Cows , joined the Australian Highland Cattle Society and began hosting learning events on the property.

What started out as a dream has blossomed into a thriving family-run sanctuary devoted to breeding these magnificent creatures. Every corner of the homestead reflects Catherine's unwavering commitment to authenticity and care.

Hardwil Homestead's location is perfect for Highlands especially in the colder weather, with their beautiful double coats perfectly designed for warmth.

For Catherine and her family, Hardwil Homestead is more than a farm -it's a place to relax, unwind and remember the importance of spending time together. As the Hardwil Homestead's Highland fold has grown, each cow has grown into their very own distinct personality.

Highlands will capture your heart no matter what age you are, from the grandchildren, to any who meet them.

Catherine's and Hardwil Homestead's story is a reminder to keep hold of your dreams, and be inspired to forge your path.
